Food Bank Donation

Even though we had only 2 Union Meetings in 2020, we were able to make a donation of $110.00 to the Oasis Food Bank in St. Charles.

No Meetings In Near Future

Due to the Chinese Virus, and St. Louis County restrictions on crowd size, no Union Meetings will be held in the forseeable future.  We ask that you consider notifying other members who may not be using social media (like Facebook) or those persons who don't use computers and "pass the word along".  Check back here often to see any updates on the County restrictions.

Those who have already paid for the St. Patrick's Day Meal - that was to be at the March 19 meeting - will be refunded their monies at our next Union Meeting.

This cancellation is regrettable, but for the health and safety of everyone who attends our meetings we support the decision made by St. Louis County to protect the health of our citizens.

Food Bank Contributions Set A Record in 2019

Our Retirees Chapter collected an unprecedented $1,542.00 in cash contributions for our donation to the Oasis Food Pantry in St. Charles in 2019!  This is an increase of $572.00 over what was collected in 2018 and shows a year-over-year trend that began only a few short years ago.  Also collected throughout the year was more than 40 sacks of canned and dry food for the pantries.  Your generosity, your kindness and your love has helped many people.  We all know that hunger doesn't take a day off.

Legal Services Benefit Returns for Retirees and Spouses

After a long wait we are finally seeing a return of our Legal Services Benefit.  Although very limited, there are a few services that may be of some benefit to our membership.  The plan will now offer what is known as "office work" services for the following types of legal matters:
  • Wills and Trusts
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Deeds
  • Name Changes
  • Credit Reports
  • Residential Leases
  • Birth or Marriage Certificates
  • Uncontested Family Matters
  • Contracts for Goods or Services
  • Real Estate Purchase or Sell Contracts
Office Work services will only include advice, document preparation, document review, factual and legal research, and correspondence.  No representation will be provided by the plan in Court, or in any litigation situation.  However, the plan WILL provide full representation, including attendance at hearings, for Social Security disability applications, suspensions, and terminations.  All Filing Fees and/or Court Fees will be your responsibility.

The new plan benefit is available to all Retirees and Surviving Spouses.

To open a new case, or to make other inquiries, call 800-482-7700.

At our Union Meetings we always provide the most up-to-date information on insurance and medical changes.

  • A Blue Cross/Blue Shield Representative will be present at every other meeting.
  • Pat Olson of SVS Vision is available to answer questions and provide the details you need on getting those "new" glasses.
  • We have "guest speakers" who provide information on special needs of Retirees, such as home care, medical benefits, legal advice, etc.

New ideas are on the horizon for our Chapter -

Beginning in 2012 we will have Annual Food Drives for those less fortunate, and Local 325 members have always been the most generous!  Plans are also being made for an Annual Picnic with food, fun, and fellowship.

If the weather gets too bad ...

We never want to cancel a membership meeting, but snow and ice could force a cancellation.  Be sure to listen to KMOX 1120-AM radio, or KSDK Channel 5 television, during their morning broadcast.
